Dialogue not working

So i followed the little tutorial, changed my cutscene chart to normal, added the dialog.txt, and it loads but for some reason there is no text? like the little speaking beep sound plays but no text appears, i read the dialog tutorial txt thing in data but its not really too helpful. if its something im missing thats very obvious then please tell me thx.
