How should we treat useMinimalLabels in Labels 2.0

Now that we're rethinking labels, we should discuss the usage of the useMinimalLabels option.

Example: With useMinimalLabels on, we drop inbetween labels and only render first, middle & last labels.

• Should this be turned on by default?
• Should we try and determine whether the scale/chart is linear or categorical and then doing the right thing automatically?
• Should we remove it?

Any thoughts on whether we should make this a Github Discussion? Thinking of having decision logs for the future and that might be a more obvious place than issues. Let me know what you think!
