Basic config seemingly not working

Hello! I have a MVP config I've created to show that this plugin just doesn't seem to be working for me? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to see what the issue is:

  event = "VeryLazy",

I have tried to restart my neovim. This does not fix the issue sadly.

Also, I'd like have a more sophisticated layout than just the MVP I've referenced. Ideally something like below, but I'm not sure what the correct syntax would be?

Do you have a buffer who's filetype is effectively buffer?
