How do you use Edgy? Can I have multiple predefined window layouts?

There doesn't seem to be enough plugin documentation on exactly how to use this, though I am a Neovim and Vim noob. I want to be able to have multiple workspaces with their own window layouts, and commands run to open buffers in each window which Edgy seems to be able to do. Sessions aren't enough because plugins like Neotree and Outline.nvim don't get restored by them properly, hence the need for it.
