How to use the lua API (redirect) second argument?

Hi,

I'm starting to have a setup I like with noice after finding what conflicted etc.
One thing I cannot make work is the redirect api.
From what I understand the second argument is a route definition but I cannot seems to make it work. editing the route definition at config.redirect does work but I'd like to be able to overide it per call too.

Here is what I tried:
