Hyprland

Enable Hyprland and basic configuration using home manager.

Wrapper

As is recommended in in the wiki, this wrapper script is used to launch Hyprland, instead of the binary. It sets required environment variables.

Configuration

Monitors

Set custom names for the monitor devices, for ease-of-use

$leftMonitor = DP-1

Set the monitor configuration.

The first argument is the name of the monitor
The second argument is the display resolution and frame-rate
The third one is the position, from the top-left corner
The last is the scale (1 corresponds to no scaling)

To check the current configuration of monitors, including their names, run hyprctl monitors.

Set the modifier key to super.

Dwindle

The pseudo command is used to pseudo-float a window, i.e. it is floating but still part of the dwindle layout. The togglesplit command toggles the direction of the current split.
