I've installed Pop! OS 22.04 on four different laptops. On all four, the live environment launches with the installer running, along with error messages popping up saying the installer is not responding. (Even though the installer UI is perfectly responsive.) If I continue attempting to use the installer, installation fails 100% of the time when it tries to write the partitions to disk.
If I close and restart the installer, the error messages don't appear, and it successfully writes the partitions.
Suggestion: just don't launch it automatically. Seems a bit presumptive anyway.

One of the reasons aside from installation/refreshing to launch the installer automatically is to allow international users to choose their language and keyboard layout (without having to search for the settings in English.) That's why the Demo button is after those selections.
Can you provide some details about the hardware you're experiencing this on? Running sudo journalctl > journalctl.txt in the live environment after the issue has occurred and copying/attaching that file might give a clue as to what's wrong (I would compare the logs on the bad autolaunch with the logs after launching without the issue.)
Machines exhibiting this behavior included a System76 Pangolin panp9, an HP ZBook 17, an Acer E5-511-P0GC, and an Asus eeepc Seashell netbook. I ended up installing stock Ubuntu 22.04 and moving on, but I'll try to get that information from the live Pop! environment in the next week or so.
