A number of bugs relevant to Galicaster have been fixed between gstreamer 1.8.3 and 1.10.4. gstreamer 1.10 is also required to support the newer Datapath VisionLC cards.

Galicaster should be updated to support gstreamer 1.10.

So far the only known issue with this version is that the videobox element in the v4l2 pipeline causes colours to go wrong (e.g. the Datapath "no signal" preview appears purple on white rather than green on black).

However, issues may emerge in other pipelines with further testing.

Work-around is to remove the videobox element though this will also disabling muting a v4l2 track:

I can confirm the same issue with the 'no signal' feed from datapath vision es1 cards. Thanks for the work around

The videobox element appears to introduce artefacts when used with an
epiphan video capture device[1]. Work around this by removing the
videobox element from the pipeline.
