What has CoronaWhy produced so far?

Below are the executive summaries of each submission that CoronaWhy created for the 4/16 Kaggle competition round (using version 7 of the competition’s dataset).

Also check out Kaggle’s center for coronavirus analysis here as well as Amazon’s COVID-19 search engine, they have a lot of great findings and creations as well!

What is known about transmission, incubation, and environmental stability?

Result: the top articles for five main questions that we judge to have immediate policy impact.

What is the range of incubation periods?

How is the persistence of the virus on surfaces of different materials?

How effective are movement control strategies?

How effective are personal protective equipment?

How does geography impact the spread of the COVID-19?

Results: Data visualization tools for worldwide cases by location, Italian cases by location, Italian cases by demographics, Italian cases by meteorology, and Italian cases by mobility.

To access: In order to access these results you must have a Kaggle account, click the “Copy and Edit” button, and then click “Run All” to use all of the tools.

What do we know about vaccines and therapeutics for COVID-19?

Results: a search engine to explore articles on currently researched drug treatments for COVID19.

What is known about COVID-19 risk factors?

Results: the most relevant articles on heart disease, age, humidity, pollution, temperature, and population density as risk factors for COVID-19.
