Can be made evident by importing a generated map in-game. Use the in-game map marker placement to place a marker directly onto a Mappalachia plot. The plot will come out as much as 8m off when arriving in-world.
Plots made againt the satellite render map are visually exactly correct (For example plot phosphate or acid deposit which can be seen from space). However, the same behaviour can be demonstarted when importing a satellite plot in-game. This shows that the whole image itself is offset, and therefore that the inaccuracy exists in the database before the background is rendered.
