RootShape's role vs KL's role in water supply

Given that:

• KL incorporates both plant and soil factors which limit rate of water uptake, and

• RootShapeCylinder assumes uniform root distribution across rooting depth,

• Is it correct to say: in a uniform soil profile (i.e., all soil layers are similar), KL must be the same across layers if RootShape model is NOT RootShapeCylinder? In other words, when RootShapeCylinder is NOT used in a uniform soil profile, can we safely assume that all variations in KL are accounted for by RootShape?

• Is it correct to say: all current values of KL, for example in APSoil, assume the plant model uses RootShapeCylinder (i.e., the impact of root distribution would be double-accounted if any other RootShape model is used)?

Unrelated note: In RootShapeSemiCircleSorghum, there is a note: "The formula used for the circle is wrong as it does not account for the coordinate of the centre!"
