Library-Book-Management-System

This project serves as a quintessential programming example enabling users to register, list, delete, update, and find books within a PostgreSQL database.

Features

User Registration: Allows users to register accounts to manage book transactions. Book Listing: Provides a comprehensive list of available books. Book Update & Deletion: Enables editing and removal of book entries. Book Search Functionality: Allows users to search for books based on various criteria.

Prerequisites

Before running this project, ensure you have the following installed:

Java: Install Java Development Kit (JDK). PostgreSQL: Install and set up PostgreSQL database server.

Installation

To run this project locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/Aburraq/Library-Book-Management-System.git

  1. Install dependencies:

cd Library-Book-Management-System Add specific installation commands if necessary (e.g., npm install, pip install, etc.)

  1. Set up PostgreSQL dependency with Maven:

Add the following dependency in your pom.xml file:

    <dependency>
        <groupId>org.postgresql</groupId>
        <artifactId>postgresql</artifactId>
        <version>42.5.1</version>
    </dependency>
  1. Set up PostgreSQL:

Create a PostgreSQL database. Update the database configuration file (config.js, settings.py, etc.) with your database credentials.

5.Run the application:

Add commands to start the application (e.g., mvn spring-boot:run, java -jar app.jar, etc.)

Usage

Once the application is running, users should revise getConnection method on BookRepository class, and write thier own url, user , and password. Users can interact with the following functionalities:

Registration: Register new users to access book management features.

Book Listing: View the complete list of available books.

Book Modification: Update or delete book details.

Search: Find specific books by id.
