short story - the QMK firmware works at a much lower level than the Adafruit one. Its possible - but requires patching the adafruit c library |

When using iOS or MacOS a lot of standard key commands are using the Fn key. E.g. Fn+C is control centre.
This is odd - it is actually a key code but only on these platforms..
