Our customer is the non-profit organization Voluntary Action Harrow.

Voluntary Action Harrow (VAH) is a co-operative non-profit group that supports the activities of charities and non-profits in the borough of Harrow in NorthWest London by providing services such as Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checking, Trustee training workshops etc.

A number of charities were initially approached as part of a co-ordinated effort to find clients for "unofficial" EdX SaaS class projects. Those efforts were co-ordinated through this spreadsheet and letter template:

VAH was never contacted directly. Their office is next to Harrow Bereavement Counselling (HBC) who were contacted, and VAH then contacted the project team directly.

The Local Support project has weekly meetings with VAH and as been doing so for over 20 weeks now. After 10 weeks of exploratory meetings efforts focused on a directory service for local non-profits, and the Local Support Rails app began development.
