Using the beta (and I went back and tested the stable version too!) on Kubuntu 24.04.
First I let all the demos play at the main menu and those all played fine (excellent!), and the cutscenes work within the game I've been test playing this afternoon... But I remembered there was a FMV cheat to see them all and thought I'd watch some of them, but after launching one, the movie played fine, but then A.L.I.V.E just stopped/froze and wouldn't come back without force quitting the application.
I have the console attached showing any error messages and none were displayed (so it wasn't not finding a file or encountering anything it might log).
I tried doing the same thing in Wine with the original executable (AbeWin.exe), which plays the first frame of most movies and then jumps back to the menu (other than the Oddworld logo and the credits scene, they seem to play fine in Wine, but only the credits scene plays okay in RELIVE)
