When shifted to access scope, the scope crosshairs come up with the magnification options but do not zoom in when scroll wheel is applied to increase magnification. Zoom stays at default despite the magnification being told to increase from 1.6x (default view) to 10x zoom scale.

got the mod a while ago and am having the same issue as you described it - upgraded the railgun with the scope and when i move the scroll wheel to zoom in it says it's changing but doesn't zoom in anymore than default - this "sniper rifle" seems to have a pretty whack scope for it may as well be sniping from a mile out with a holographic sight.

Little late to the party, but did anyone make any headway on the cause of this? That the indicator to the right changes has me believing that it's not a binding issue (my original suspicion when a server-client reported the bug). I hopped in and it is exactly as described by the previous posts. I'm running a pretty heavily (overly if I'm being honest) 1.7.10 build and the thought of playing 'turn em off till you find it' doesn't seem like a lot of fun for a low level bug. Any guesses out there would be welcome, Optifine is my only 'reasonable' suspect at the moment.

Super late, so sorry for reviving a dead thread, but this might help anyone who googles this issue.

I found if you turn off dynamic fov with optifine it breaks the zoom. The fix is to leave it on.
