Extension or Userscript?

Extension

Request or suggest a new feature!

Manual installation of the extension via the Firefox add-ons website is possible on Android. The extension works as intended on youtube.com, but it only works on desktop view, it doesn't work on the mobile version (m.youtube.com).

Ways to implement this!

Right now, the extension is able to read content from youtube.com domain.
Allowing the extension to access to the domain m.youtube.com would be a first step to get the extension working on Firefox Android.
Then, we could replace the original dislike button just like the desktop version.

Can you work on this?

  • Yes
  • No

Will you be available for follow-up questions to help developers implement this?

Yes

As a workaround, try installing the userscript version using Tampermonkey to see if it works.

Thank you so much, this workaround seems to work!

As a recap, here are the instructions for anyone who would try to get it working on their Android phone:

I'll reopen this, as I want to add native support eventually

Another thing that would be beneficial to users is the ability to install the extension without having to manually install the .xpi file.
As I'm writing this comment, it is not possible yet to find the extension on the official supported Android addons (on Firefox), you have to manually install/activate it through advanced settings on the Firefox app.

Can't wait to see this working natively though, thank you for this extension!
