Selection mode collides with filtering

Steps to reproduce

1. Open observations on the map and filter by species such that at least 3 cards are visible.
2. Select the second card for prediction overriding.
3. Use the dropdown on the first card to override prediction to something that won't match the filter.

The first card will now disappear (it no longer matches the filter) and all cards will shift by one position to the beginning. The selection will stay the same with respect to the grid (the second card will still be selected).
