instance.setActiveAccount not being set using onInit() ??

My understanding is that ngOnInit() will automatically subscribe to msalSubject$, however, nothing inside subscribe() L21 gets executed. I've also tried subscribing manually to both: msalSubject and inProgress as recommended by the docs.

getAllAccount() show 1 account, the current logged in account and if i do setActiveAccount() within setLoginDisplay() then getActiveAccount() works.

Am i missing something on the ngOnInit workings?

The code inside the subscribe callback only runs after returining from a successful login (i.e. after logging in, set that user as the active account). Our other Angular 11 sample demonstrates the usage you are looking for to set the active account when not returning from login:
