Task adding empty <PropertyGroup/> tag

Hello,

I'm currently using the Assembly-Info-NetCore@3 task and have noticed that after updating the assembly information an empty tag is being added to my project files.

Here is an example of my yaml using the task.

and here is an example of a diff with extra property groups inserted.

I'm also fairly certain that these and tags are being appended with a "&#xD" but I haven't confirmed that yet.

Is this some setting I'm using incorrectly?
