Setup (please complete the following information):

  • Distribution: Kubuntu
  • Distribution release: 24.10
  • Geeqie version [geeqie --version]: 2.4 GTK3

Describe the bug
Sometimes after app restart, my list of custom keywords in the info sidebar is deleted and replaced by the default keyword list. Does not happen after every restart, but has happened multiple times in a week or so of intermittent use. I do not know what factor causes the keyword tree to reset -- it seems fairly random.

To reproduce

  1. Delete default keywords.
  2. Create a list of custom keywords ("mykeyword1", "mykeyword2", etc.).
  3. Apply keywords to some files.
  4. Close and reopen program.
  5. Repeat steps 3-4 until the keyword list reverts to the installation defaults.
