Meet at parking "Esplanade du Souvenir Français" near Parc Paul Mistral at event start time 🔺SHARP🔺:

We ride our cars for ~2h and park at "Parking du Lavoir" after Valfréjus:

🚗 Car share 🚗

Car share is 20€ per person. Include fuel, the expensive toll (~35€). We will be 5 by cars with big/heavy bags. You will probably have some stuffs on your knees, our cars are not that big.

Day 1

🚗 Let’s go on an adventure! We’ll drive for 2 hours and park after Valfréjus. Then, we’ll hike with our tents and all our equipment 🎒🥾. We’ll take a break at Refuge du Mont Thabor to fill our bottles 🚰. Finally, we’ll reach the Lac du Peyron (no water, no facility) to plant our tent at 2450m of elevation ⛺️🏔️. It’ll be around 6°C 🥶 during the night, so make sure to bring warm clothes! 🧣🧤🧦

Day 2

🍳🥓🍞 After a big, fat and nice breakfast, we’ll pick up our tents and start our ascent to the really top of the Mont Thabor 3178m! 🏔️ Once we reach the top, we’ll enjoy the view and make a wish at the chapel 🙏. Then, we’ll go all the way down, back to the refuge and back to our cars with our memories full of tons of scenic views 🌄🤩.

🎒 What to bring 🎒

For hiking

  • 🎒 Big hiking bag 50/60L mini ❗️MANDATORY

  • 🥾 Hiking shoes ❗️MANDATORY

  • 🥢 Hiking pole 🔰Recommended

  • 🩳🩱 swimsuit + towel

  • 🧃 Water 3 or 4L mini. We can refill at the refuge

  • 🍫 Some snack

  • 🥕 food for 4 meals:

  • Saturday lunch - picnic/sandwich

  • dinner - food to cook if you have cooking stove + gas

  • Sunday breakfast

  • lunch - again picnic/sandwich

  • 🍵 Ecocup/mug + fork, knife, trash bag, ...

  • ❄️🌧️ Cold & rain gear (15°C during the day)

  • 🌞 Sunscreen, 😎 Sunglasses

  • 😁 Smile, 😊 Happiness

  • 💵 Car share money (exact change in cash)

For the night

  • ⛺ Tent ❗️❗️❗️MANDATORY (let us know in comments in you have more than 1 place in it)

  • 💤 Sleeping bag ❗️❗️❗️MANDATORY 0°c bag is a must

  • 🥶 6°C during the night. Do not join if you don't have a GOOD sleeping bag (some people will recognize themselves 😅)

  • 🟦💤 Sleeping pad 🔰Recommended

  • 💡 Headlamp ❗️MANDATORY

  • Inflatable pillow (or use your shoes as pillow)

  • 🔥 Cooking stove + gas if you want to cook food

  • 🥶 Warm clothes for the night. 6°c during the night

  • 🧻 Toilet paper, soap, toothbrush, ...

  • 🟨/⬜ Space blanket (just in case)
