[MacOS] Launcher crashes when extracting zip

ChroMapper version
ChroMapper doesn’t open, I have the latest version of the launcher though

Describe the Issue
I downloaded the Launcher and when I unzip the .zip file and open the app it checks for updates and hangs on extracting archive and then crashes.

Provide Screenshots or Videos
I will update soon not at home right now.

Steps to Reproduce
1 Download and extract the launcher.
2 Open the launcher app.
3 Wait until it attempts to extract the zip.
4 The launcher crashes.

Expected Behavior
I expected the launcher do extract the zip and run the first time setup

Additional Context
I have never used this program before, I do not have administrator rights or sudo rights.

Hi @FredsMedia, I don't know if you have resolved the situation, but I am also having the same problem for MacOS but I did learn yesterday that you do need, I believe, at least sudo rights for the application to work. I did have to find a work around to get it to open because it would crash when double clicking on it. After I get the crash report it tells me that abort() was used. I will attach a link to youtube showing the crash and how I got mine to work. Hope this helps for anyone else including you @FredsMedia if you guys also have this problem!
