I would like to get rid of the "explanatory" text that appears with some keypresses, such as "[Open a new tab," for pressing Ctrl+T in Chrome. Is there an way to do this?
The reason is that I'm using some applications within Chrome, for which most of the keypresses are not actually the correct explanation. (I also just find it distracting)
For example, while typing this comment, I pressed Enter to start a new paragraph, but the additional text interpreted it as "Open the Chrom[...]":
