Bezel .png not displaying?

I'm trying out the bezel feature, and when I specify a bezel .png path at the command line it displays that it's loaded ("Loaded bezel file: /XXX"), however, no bezel shows up.
I'm using the bezels from the bezels repository, and have compiled hypseus-singe from source (tried both the master and the "mpeg2" branch), and have also tried the AppImage, but get the same results (no bezel .png image displays).

Has anyone else had this issue? (Has anyone else gotten a .png bezel to display properly?)

Plenty of people using bezels. Better off asking this kind of question over at the Discord server on https://discord.gg/aCt2YPae3T where hopefully someone running a similar system as you can offer some advice. I recommend providing as much detail as you can, such as your full command line including arguments and a copy of your log output that might provide some insight.

This issue was KDE desktop environment related. Hopefully @queequegaz can provide some update on a work-a-round.
