I fell partial victim to a job offer/scam run by someone who is impersonating world vision international, and offering a $650 per week salary to UofT students/alumni to be virtual assistants. Yeah I know it sounds too good to be true but it was through official channels and was specifically for students and alumni and I assumed it would involve running errands, taking notes in meetings etc. Anyway I haven't lost any money, and the bank activity that occurred before I caught a whiff of a scam is quarantined in an account that doesn't have much to loose and a good fraud policy so I've only wasted my own time.
I want to find the location of these scammers and relay that information to their local law enforcement (probably India let's be honest) and to my university and especially World Vision international. I have seen this kind of ad more than once in the uoft space and am worried about my fellow students. Could I have some advice on how to accomplish this?
