Several projects require a consolidated classification of disease and phenotype. At present EFO, DOID, HPO and ORDO are not fully interoperable and overlap in scope and coverage. We will work with the community (e.g. OBO, Monarch and Orphanet) to devise a common set of design patterns and a top level disease classification that ensures these four ontologies are interoperable.
