Changes

  • When fusing two moai in spooky mode, it now creates a gold moai, a completely unfuseable trophy to show that you've completed a loop!
  • You can now only shrink a pebble to one level below its default size
  • Added a guide to the spooky mode to explain what the special pebbles do
  • Added voice line when you lose
  • Added voice line when you lose a lot of points in one go
  • removed excess print statements which were noticeable to people launching the game in command line

Bug Fixes

  • Some of the special pebbles were not being affected by explosive forces
  • Jester pebble no longer triggers bombs to explode
  • Fixed ending screen sometimes flashing for 1 frame before animating down onto the screen
  • Physics wasn't updating properly when a pebble got destroyed by a skull

Score for the spooky mode will be reset for this update

In order to rebalance the spooky gamemode, I've made the "negative" pebbles more punishing to avoid what were essentially infinite loops in scoring where you remove the biggest pebbles to make more space without impacting score.

Pebbles now keep track of the score they have created and that score will be lost if it is destroyed. Destroying brand new balls that have never been fused doesn't affect score

I've also made changes to stop crazy buildup of too many cats

Changes

  • bandages now slightly fade in instead of instantly appearing
  • jester pebble now removes some score similar to the skull pebble
  • cat pebbles now despawn after a set amount of pebbles have been dropped
  • cat pebbles are now slightly larger

Bug Fixes

  • skull pebble now removes the correct amount of points, it was removing just the score of the most recent fusion
  • skull pebbles no longer trigger bombs
  • attempted to fix rare crash with mummy pebble

New Mode!

The spooky gamemode has been added to the game! A halloween mode with all new special pebbles which mix up the gameplay!

  • added a menu close button for mouse
  • made mouse controls the default on a new game

  • Added mouse controls, they can be toggled in settings
  • Added option to use down button to drop the pebble (hold button becomes the old drop button)
  • Added "M" as menu button so web version doesn't exit fullscreen with "Esc" button
