Reactor Upscale Option not working in the Extras tab

When using reactors upscale in the extras tab (tried both on a1111 and forge) it works fine until the last step but then just says:

ReActor - ERROR - Cannot create a result image

and gives back the original image. No other error or warning

No error when just face swapping.
upscale works if 1. Restore Face -> 2. Upscale (-Uncheck- if you want vice versa) option is UNCHECKED.
no issues on the img2img or txt2img tabs.

Couldnt find anything related to this specific error. I am using the latest version. No additional extentions.
I may have broken something, it used to work.
tried uninstalling reinstalling, no change.
Help would be appreciated.
