the tsm2stp conversion uses native t-spline primitives that most CAD do not support. Furthermore, tessellation is not the way to go.
It would really be helpful (and of didactic relevance) to implement a lossy/lossless (both would be necessary) conversion to NURBS, no matter how many control points will result.
