<h2>What is HRV?</h2>
<p>You may think that your heart beats regular like if you have a heart rate of 60 bpm your heart beats every second once for 60 seconds.
<br>But that is wrong and good! Whatever you do sports, stressed or angry at someone your heart adjusts itself. This phenomenon of variation in the time interval between your heart beats is called heart rate variability (HRV).
<br>This HRV may indicate sickness. If you have a limited HRV you may develop for example serious heart conditions, depression, inflammation of the nerves or cancer.
<br>To analyse your heart rate variability there are multiple parameters.
<br>HRV Band connects to your measurement device and calculates some of the parameters. The following table explains these parameters:

<table class="alt">

<tbody>
<tr>
<td>LF</td>
<td>Low frequency band energy as an indicator of mainly symphatic activity.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>HF</td>
<td>High frequency band energy as an indicator of parasymphatic activity.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>LF/HF</td>
<td>Ratio of LF and HF. Indicator of regulation of the autonomous nervous system. </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>RMSSD</td>
<td>Tells how much your heart rate differs from one heart beat to another. </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>SDNN</td>
<td>Standard deviation of all RR-Intervals. High SDNN means high HRV. Low SDNN means low HRV. Standard measure time for short term SDNN is 5 minutes.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>SD1</td>
<td>Standard deviation of the orthogonal distances in the Poincare plot. </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>SD2</td>
<td>Standard deviation of the horizontal distances in the Poincare plot.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Stressindex (SI)</td>
<td>Baevsky Stressindex as an indicator of overall stress. For more information see further reading.</td>
