Game Compendium

I created a compendium for this system. Currently has just basic V20, but I'm working on expanding it still.

What is your process for creating these compendiums? Is it possibly something I could help with? I'm planning on running a WtA game relatively soon and could work on that compendium in the meantime

That would be a HUGE help. Werewolf is the one game that no one in my groups, self included, have interest in playing.

I use this to export the and .db files: https://github.com/kid2407/Compendium2Module

Effectively, if I have the .db file, I can put it into the module. All you need to do is create a compendium with everything organized into folders and use compendium2module to download the compendium. You can send me the zip file and I can put it into the module.

Great, I'll get on that! Do you have an efficient method of creating the compendiums or is it just brute force copy/paste?

It's brute force, but there's a few things I do to make it easier.

I'll create the folder and put in the power. Then I'll enter in as much information into the power that is common among the other powers of the same type (So Page reference number, etc.) Then I duplicate it as many times as needed, then edit the duplicates.

This saves time from clicking on create new power, using the drop down to determine what type, typing in the same info in the top potion as all the others, etc. Basically, it's just a lot easier to edit a power to be what you need from a duplicate than creating it from scratch.

The biggest pain are tables. They don't copy/paste well and need to be manually created.

One thing to note, if you export to compendium, and there's too many files, not everything will transfer. For example, I can right click my disciplines folder and send it ALL to compendium, but somewhere down the line it gives up and I don't know what is missing and what isn't. It's much safer to send each smaller folder individually.
