Recently a new version of pandapipes got released which brings new functionality and optimizations. As a new "bidirectional" calculation is now available which enables output temperature control of heat exchangers, it should be possible to simplify my own approach with a Custom ReturnTemperatureController. This might enhance the stability of the simulation significantly and reduce calculation time.
