Stata is still my favorite IDE for working with data stuff. The UI for their Data Viewer is really good. Little search bar on the side which allows you to narrow down what columns you look at. But I'd be concerned about speed if that were done in TableView. Stata is a QT app and they must do some mmapping to get the data to show so quickly

well, TableView should be as fast as whatever filters the data, and I'm not sure how Julia did in that regard tbh

I ended up doing showtable(df[!, r"expression"]) which works well though.
