port forwarding?

so i was wondering if i needed to open any ports to speed up downloading the torrent. i looked through the code a bit and didn't see anything.

yk how on a home connection, you open a port and specify it in your torrent client, and then you reach all of the seeders.

i opened all ports on my server, but rn I'm downloading a torrent with 240 seeders, and only getting around 800kb/s download
