"Unroll" by dataset in a collection

Can we unroll the datasets in a collection to allow simultaneous viewing and zooming/scrolling across datasets? I think one challenge is that the datasets may not have the same dimensions, so the navigator wouldn't work here. We could imagine something where if all the datasets in a collection all have the exact same size over all dimensions, then that becomes another "slider", but that may require changing the underlying model somewhat.
