Changing Channel in Sonoff dongle

Hi

I'm playing with changing the channel on my Sonoff Dongle

Changing it from 11 to 25 in the Yaml file or by Settings / Advanced (while I have access to the Zigbee, I then restart it Settings / Tools Restart Zigbee2Mqtt button

But when I do this it will not restart showing a 'bad gateway' message, even after rebooting HA. So I have to reset the Yaml back to 11 to get it to work correctly

What am I missing ?

I'm answering my own question and leaving it here as I believe it may be useful for others and I've seen many questions about doing this without the answer

I changed the channel in my Yaml or the settings / advanced the channel 11 to 25 or you can also change the yaml setting as the configuration file is in the same folder 'zigbee2mqtt' in your config somewhere

I then changed the channel in the Coordinator_backup.json file two lines (this was what was causing the dongle not to start. The channel mask doesn't get updated even after a restart)

save the file (it can be opened as a simple text file)

I rebooted HA unplugged and re-plugged in the Dongle just to make sure, now all seems perfect

Note you will need to repair all devices
