link the red "new" to the oldest new post

I am directly tempted to click onto the red "new", and would expect that this takes me to one of the new items. Preferrably to the oldest one, so that I can view them in order.

The order in which we display the answers of a question is according to the number of votes, so I think linking to the oldest one might confuse users.
Should it link to the question or should we display answers sorted by the date they were posted and link to the last one?

Ah, I understand, listing answers by votes is very sensible. So just link to the new answer with the most votes, does that make sense?
