Export precision

Hi, I am having a lot of fun with your tool🙂

Here is a simple question.

Is it possible to control export precision for the output file?

For example, when I load .step file and save its components in discrete mesh format: .stl, .off

Hello!

1. Importing: when we import mesh or points, we convert it to float so there can be some losses in precision if data in file was written in double, we try to keep precision my centering data and adding AffineXf3f so, main digits should be correct
2. Internally we store all data in float
3. Exporting: we write stl binary so there is no loss on this step. Exporting in text formats we cast to double so there should not be loss too

Hello, but when we import . STEP it has continuous curves defined internally.
So to convert to .STL it should perform some sort of discretization with some resolution.

Hello, currently we don't have any precision-related settings for STEP importing. Note that STEP models are always being converted and used as meshes internally, so it's actually an importing question rather than an exporting one.
