  • navigate the file system using the command line interface (CLI).
  • manage permissions using the CLI.
  • perform basic process management using CLI.
  • manipulate and search files and the file system using command line tools such as find, grep & sed.
  • configure/customize CLI behaviour using .bashrc

Contents

In this course you will learn to use the Linux terminal (als called Command Line Interface) to make everyday work in bioinformatics related activities more efficient. This includes activities such as starting and managing processes (programs) and finding, sharing and filtering files on the system.
