We are excited to announce that Microsoft Edge WebView2 is now included in the scope of the Microsoft Edge Bounty Program. This initiative underscores our commitment to security and invites researchers and individuals worldwide to contribute to the robustness of the WebView2 SDKs and runtimes.

Key Points:

  • Eligibility: Submissions must identify previously unreported vulnerabilities unique to the latest WebView2 SDKs and runtimes on fully patched Windows systems.
  • Versions Covered: The eligible WebView2 SDKs are the prerelease and release versions, alongside the Evergreen WebView2 runtime, and the runtimes in the Dev and Beta channel of Microsoft Edge.
  • Bounty Rewards: Qualified submissions are eligible for bounty rewards ranging from $250 USD to $30,000 USD, with the possibility of higher awards based on the quality and complexity of the entry.

We encourage all interested participants to refer to the Microsoft Edge Bounty Program page for more details. Let’s work together to enhance the security and reliability of Microsoft Edge WebView2!
