This can be relatively straightforward:

  • Bootstrap skid road access in an InputFormat implementation via Configuration properties.
  • implement an InputSlice per skid road LogFile.
  • Implement a RecordReader that sends lines of text out.

To be determined if this can integrate nicely with Pig.
