Armor and shield bonus table (magic armor and shields.json) will not distinguish on re-rolls to keep the same base type.

IE:

MagicItem: +2 armor | Prob: 70 | Book: DMG216 | Cost: 0 Magic, Armor, Magic_Medium

Abilities: -
+3 shield (Bonus: +3 | Cost: 0) - DMG217
+2 armor (Bonus: +2 | Cost: 0) - DMG216
