What new functionality do you need?

There is a need to add capabilities to the global-workflow that creates statistic files for monitoring purposes.

What are the requirements for the new functionality?

Is able to generate summary stats files and save in COM.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Update existing code and add new stats jobs/scripts
  • Create working jcb algorithms for obs types
  • Run CI jobs successfully
  • Run for week worth of cycles successfully
  • Make code robust for multiple obs types and test

Suggest a solution (optional)

Use recently added Jedi capabilities and JCB algorithms to copy and read stat files, and output new summary stat files.

Currently working in CoryMartin-NOAA/global-workflow fork.

Just as an FYI to the g-w team, this is getting closer to being ready for opening a PR. Expect it likely around the end of the month/beginning of Feb.
