General Guidelines

• If you want to add any screenshots or images to the wiki, upload the image files to website/static as best practice
• Edit Markdown files in website/docs
• Reference README for compilation / build / format scripts

Alarm Documentation

  • Fix this - NOTE: When creating a new alarm, the metric filter will only be detected if the filter was applied to "new data" (so to speak) since the filter was created
    • This is now known to be incorrect, it is possible to create an alarm without data being there yet (see below)
    • AWS Console location: Cloudwatch > Log Groups > Metric Filters > Check checkbox > create alarm
    • 
    • For general reference on how this works, you may want to run through creating a metric filter (use existing filters as a reference)

  • AWS Console location: Cloudwatch > Alarms (alarms with "Last State Update" in 2023 can be considered current)
  • You can either re-word this section to just direct the user to AWS Cloudwatch to see current alarms, or update the list of alarms in the documentation
