Read Only and Standard User Access can't see the Navigation on left side

I created a custom security roles that has read-only access and another that can create and update their own data.
Both this security role are copied from App Opener and just added some customised record level privilege to Project related table. The access is working fine but they can't see the Navigation on left side. For them to navigate, I need to send a separate link to another page.

I tried adding other roles to my test user like Basic User, Project Common and Project User but it's still not successful.
