Covers grid – sort ignoring 'the'?

Over in the Library Filter panel, under Settings, there's an option to "Sort ignoring the/les/los" and that works fine.

Is there an equivalent option for the covers grid?

What I've tried:

• Modifying 'custom titleformat' in the Group By section, adding either $swapprefix or $stripprefix. Despite changing the displayed artists/titles, it has no effect on sorting.
• Preferences > Columns UI > Spider Monkey Panel Configuration > GraphicsBrowser >MAINPANEL Library Sort TitleFormat > adding the same $swapprefix or $stripprefix modifiers to the %albumartist% and %album% items. No discernable effect.
• Noted that the LibraryFilter panel configuration contains a value _PROPERTY: ignore artist prefix True (same for album title) and also noted that the GraphicsBrowser panel has no such item—in fact there are no _PROPERTY entries at all—and that I seemingly cannot add one.
