There are designator marks on the board next to each driver, the extruder
is the top right I think (I don't have a board in front of me just now)

Hi!
Does anyone know the assignment of the drivers on the mainboard to the
motors, especially the one for the extruder motor?
Regards,
Timo

👋 Welcome!
This is for any discussion of the Anycubic Vyper Community Edition firmware.
It is separate from the Anycubic Vyper Facebook group to avoid comments from less open minded owners and to allow discussion based on this firmware only, please still use the facebook group for more open questions such as filament types, profile settings, slicers, etc. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/anycubicvyper), to help the vyper community in general.
I hope that you:
I am very grateful to the Creality CR6 community and it is worth while looking at their pages and discussion groups.
I don't envision this becoming too large a community since it is based on the Creality CR6 community code and they have done all the hard work and are still making changes but due to the difference in the Vyper printer it will remain separate for a while I think. Also I don't envision spending a great deal of my time here since I have a life too :).
The display code will always be separate due to the DWIN display system and the difference in screen pixel density.
I originally thought I would change the Anycubic code to add the functionality I and others were asking for but without access to the display source files it was proving very difficult to make the changes I wanted. Thinking that the Creality CR6 was a very similar printer I looked at the community code and found it offered pretty much what I wanted and so set about the task of seeing just what was involved in getting it to run on the Vyper. The Marlin code proved to be quite easy to get running but the display code not so much! However I got the graphics re-sized and working (although with some loss of quality due to the resizing) and put it out there and was quite surprised and happy that a lot of users liked it. It has had a few unexpected hiccups and caused a few sleepless nights but I think the 6.1c release should solve the problems (as far as I can test) and be acceptable for almost everyone.
I hope that a few more developers can now get involved especially on the graphics side which needs Photoshop expertise that I do not have, I basically resized what already existed but there is a photoshop file with all of the graphics layered so that any of the screens can be generated, I think there is some scripting to do this, but they all need resizing in the layers and re-generated to give sharper images for future use. This would also allow further buttons or screens to be added as required and background colors to be changed.
