Now that we have an auto-resizing explore/validation UI, can we shrink navbar? #3504

I think we should have two navbar sizes:

  • The "larger" one for the landing page
  • A smaller one for all other pages (and when you scroll down in the landing page, it can animate to be smaller like this)

As now, the navbar takes up too much vertical space on our content pages like:

I bet we could shrink it by half by:

  • Removing the drop shadow
  • Using a diff PS logo
  • Using text rather than button links

I like it! I don't think that causes much of a problem with the hamburger menu version either on a narrower window. Just need to decrease the size of the hamburger icon. It would be ideal to probably reduce some padding in the drop-down list in the hamburger menu, but not sure how important that is tbh
