The aim of the project is to analyze the monthly evolution of the total number of passengers of the Barcelona metro during the last 20 years. Applying the Box-Jenkins methodology we have assessed different models and choose the one that provides better and reliable forecast.
Over the model selected we have also perfom an outlier treatment considering the presence of calendars effects and an intervention analysis. We checked if the creation of seasons ticket made any change in the series.
